❌ Debunking Social Media Stereotypes

In our daily Empowered Podcasting Clubhouse room, we’ve been discussing promoting on social media. Last week, we talked about promoting on Facebook specifically and it turns out that a lot of our conceptions about the main age groups using social media may be wrong. Although there has been growth in older generations, it seems young people are coming back to Facebook (even if it is just to spy on their parents). According to a statistic posted by The Social Shepherd, The largest Facebook audience is men aged between 25 and 34, followed by men between the ages of 18-24, then female users between the ages of 24-35.

🔌 The Power of AI

As you may know, I’ve been exploring the power of AI in podcasting and all of its possibilities. Recently, I was inspired by a replay of Casey Kasem’s classic American Top 40 radio show to compile and utilize various AI tools to create the unique voice and visual character, “Cay-I Kasem”. The process involved using ElevenLabs.io’s Voice Lab to clone a distinctive voice from isolated audio recordings, Midjourney AI to generate a unique image, and D-ID.com to animate this image in sync with the audio.

For independent podcasters and particularly for audio-only podcasters, this technology presents a unique opportunity. You can take your existing audio content and, using these AI tools, create engaging video shorts. Imagine transforming your podcast episodes into animated videos, each character with its own distinctive voice and visual identity. This not only adds a new dimension to your content but also allows you to reach a wider audience on video and social media platforms.

In essence, the creation of “Cay-I Kasem” is a testament to the power of AI in revolutionizing podcasting. With a dash of creativity and the right AI tools, you can push the boundaries of what’s possible, creating unique and engaging content for your audience.
