🧨 Kickstart Your Podcasting Journey in 2025

2025 is here, and it’s time to make this year your best yet. Whether you’re launching your first show, refining your format, or dreaming of podcasting awards, let’s set the tone for success. In this week’s newsletter, I’m breaking down strategies we covered on Monday’s episode of the Podcasting Morning Chat to help you hit your goals and grow your audience.

1️⃣ Progress, not Perfection

One of the most common challenges new and seasoned podcasters face is perfectionism. Many of us wait for the perfect script, the perfect sound, or the perfect format before releasing an episode. Here’s the truth: progress beats perfection every time.

A prime example came from co-host, DR Fay, who shared her struggles with launching her new show. Her initial episodes felt too short, leaving her questioning whether they delivered enough value. The takeaway? Short episodes can be impactful. Sometimes the clearest, simplest answers resonate most with audiences. Focus on delivering value and let your format evolve naturally. The key is to get started and stay consistent.

2️⃣ Set Clear, Meaningful Goals

Whether your ambition is to win awards or grow downloads, specificity is crucial. Dominic Lawson set a bold goal of earning 24th, 25th and 26th podcast awards in 2025, including being a Tribeca Official Selection. His strategy? Confidence, consistency, and embracing his strengths.

3️⃣ Believe in Your Vision and Build Momentum

Guest host Johnny Giangregorio from the Lifey Brand hit on something essential—belief fuels momentum. If you believe in your goal, your audience will too. Johnny emphasized the importance of surrounding yourself with a support system that believes in your vision and helps keep you accountable.

🙋Make 2025 the Year You Show Up

Consistency, clarity, and confidence will set you apart in the podcasting world this year. Whether you’re refining your content, pivoting formats, or experimenting with new ideas, keep your goals front and center.

Need accountability? Join our Podcasting Morning Chat live sessions, share your goals, and let’s keep each other on track. Remember to share this week’s newsletter with a fellow podcaster who’s ready to level up in 2025.

📈How to Build HUGE Growth with $2 a Day!

I may have found your missing ingredient to big growth…

Spend $2 a day on paid, targeted ads.

That’s exactly what Tyler Perry of Believing the Bizarre has proven. Starting with just $2–$3 a day on Instagram ads, Tyler grew his independent podcast audience to 100,000 downloads per month, inspiring podcasters in my community to rethink their approach.

Here are three lessons from Tyler’s success:

1️⃣ Invest in growth – Growth doesn’t require a massive budget. Even a small investment of $2-3/day can make a difference when combined with a strategic plan.

2️⃣ Know your audience – Tyler’s laser focus on his target audience ensured his ads reached the right people. The result? A large, loyal following who genuinely engage with his content.

3️⃣ Lead with authenticity – Building trust and showing appreciation for every new follower or listener goes a long way. Authentic outreach can be key to creating a thriving community.

So, here’s my challenge: If you’re not already investing in your podcast, consider taking the leap. Tyler proved that this could be the missing ingredient to building a large audience with just a few dollars a day!
