Looks like Sam Altman is back at the helm of OpenAI. That drama certainly got interesting! Due to everything going on, OpenAI announced that the GPT Store opening will be pushed back a bit and is set to be released in early 2024.
OpenAI has also halted access to its GPT Plus program due to the surge in users and current capacity. But don’t fret! There is a waitlist, and I highly suggest putting your name on it now so you can get access as soon as it’s available! https://chat.openai.com/
If you are a current GPT Plus user, are you working on your custom GPTs? Well Nick and I have been working on our NextGen Podcaster custom GPTs to help podcasters with their workflow and they are available now!

⚾Master Podcast Pitching
Podcast pitching and guesting offers a unique opportunity to amplify your voice, share your story, and connect with new audiences. Let’s dive into how you can master this art and reap its numerous benefits.
🤷🏼♂️Why Podcast Guesting?
- Extended Reach: Tap into the podcast’s established audience to expand your own.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with hosts and fellow guests to grow your professional network.
- Enhanced Credibility: Share your expertise and insights, establishing yourself as a thought leader in your field.
- Personal Branding: Use this platform to showcase your personality and values, making a memorable impression.
⚾Pitching a Podcast: The Do’s and Don’ts
✅Do:
- Research Thoroughly: Understand the podcast’s theme, audience, and past guests to tailor your pitch.
- Personalize Your Approach: Address the host by name and mention specific episodes you enjoyed.
- Highlight Your Unique Angle: Explain what makes your story or expertise different and valuable.
- Provide All The Details: Don’t make them google you, give them all the relevant links or a one-page summary.
❎Don’t:
- Be Generic: Generic pitches are forgettable. Be specific about what you can offer.
- Overlook Follow-Up: If you don’t hear back, a polite follow-up can make all the difference.
- Underestimate Your Story: Believe in the value you bring. Confidence is key!
- Be Discouraged: Not everyone will respond and not everyone will respond with a yes. Some will respond with a yes if you pay for the opportunity! It happens. Keep going and sticking to your goals and values. The right show and opportunity will come your way.

🎁Spotify Wrapped for 2023
Do you have a Spotify for Podcasters Wrapped for 2023 you want to share? We would love to see it in our Facebook Group and cheer you on! Share it here.
Looking back at the data over the past year can help you plan future podcast content and strategy. It can be helpful to see:
- Your audience demographics (age, gender, location)
- Your top episodes
- Engagement metrics (how often and how long listeners tuned in)
- Listener growth
Getting a clearer picture of your podcast’s reach and impact can be invaluable for tailoring your future content to your audience’s preferences and growing effectively. But be sure any shift in direction is still true to your purpose for podcasting. The audience will sense if it is not authentic to you.
You have worked very hard this year in podcasting and as the year closes it is a great opportunity to take the time and reflect on your journey this year. Don’t just rely on the data to guide your success. You determine the success metrics for your show, and it can include how podcasting has helped you grow as a person, as a business owner, and through the connections and opportunities it has created for you.
The podcast listening platform Pocket Casts also does a similar wrapped 2023 summary for podcast listening so you can see your top listened to shows, genres, and listening time. Feel free to share those as well in our group post!
I’m so grateful to be connected with you and a part of your podcast journey.
All My Best,
👋Marc Ronick
