12 Oct 👁️🗨️Podcast Visualization Techniques
👋Hey there Podcaster!
I’ve been practicing visualization techniques for some time now. Initially, I hesitated to share my experiences with our community, concerned about what others might think. Sure, some people might label it as ‘woo-woo,’ and yes, I admit I lean a bit in that direction. But it’s not just about that. Visualization is a practical tool that offers a glimpse into what your reality could be. Recently, I took the plunge and hosted a ‘Podcast Visualization’ room on Clubhouse. If you’re curious about this technique, I’d love to break it down for you.
👁️🗨️Podcast Visualization Techniques
What is it?
Visualization isn’t merely a ‘woo-woo’ technique; it’s a practical tool that many professionals employ to achieve tangible results! Think of visualization as mental preparation that precedes action. In fact, there are credible studies that demonstrate how visualization is just as crucial as actual preparation and practice. 👇
🏀A lot of successful sports players use visualization to help with athletic performance. There was a study at the University of Chicago involving this:
- Three groups of basketball players were analyzed
- Group A: practiced free throws for 30-minutes for 30 days.
- Group B: visualized making free-throws for 30-minutes for 30 days.
- Group C: did nothing, no practice or visualization for 30 days.
- The three groups did the same number of free throws before and after the 30-day experiment and the results were analyzed:
- Group A had a 24% improvement in free throws.
- Group B had a 23% improvement! A 1% difference!
- Group C showed no improvement.
- Three groups of basketball players were analyzed
- Visualization had virtually the same improvement as actual practice!
👉Try out some podcast visualization techniques & tips to make that podcast success dream, a reality!
- 👎Focusing on what you don’t have only leads to seeing and experiencing more of that!
- 👍Instead focus on what you want your podcasting reality to be:
- Landing that dream guest
- Getting that sponsorship deal
- Reaching more listeners
- Think bigger goals, 5 or 10 years out
- After you have this focus on what podcasting success means to you, continue with the visualization👇
- 💡Tip: As a podcaster, maybe you are more of an auditory observer, and it’s hard to visualize a picture in your head? Instead of visualization, think about how you feel with your intended success.
- 💫The podcast visualization process:
- Be in a calm relaxed state, let go of any thoughts.Use your senses and imagination to help visualize.
- Visualize yourself in a creative and ideal podcasting space.
- Visualize the specific impact and value your podcast is having on your audience.
- How does this impact make you feel when you hear about it?
- Think about the growth and success your podcast has and what that looks and feels like.
- Realize the growth and change that has occurred in yourself and interactions in your life.
🎧Take a listen to the guided visualization I conducted from our Clubhouse room, start listening at 30 minutes.

🍎Apple Podcasts has had some updates to the app:
- Channels Library: Now you can create a channel if you have more than one podcast. You can create artwork and a description for your channel. A podcast can only be in one channel, not multiple. This can be used to promote paid exclusive content to your subscribers and set up a free trial. Instructions can be seen here: https://podcasters.apple.com/support/4118-set-up-channel-subscription
- Chapters: now you can mark spots within your podcast episode for your listeners to skip ahead to sections that interest them.
- Episode Artwork: with the iOS 17 update, Apple Podcasts now supports individual episode artwork. When episode artwork is not uploaded, the regular show artwork will be displayed. Even chapter artwork can be added to update depending on where in the episode the listener is at to display different artwork. View instructions here:

📻The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) regulatory authority that regulates radio, television, and online streaming services in Canada released a bulletin. Online streaming services that provide broadcasting (including podcasts) and earn $10 million annually or more revenue are required to register with CRTC by Nov 28. There was a lot of chatter about possible censorship. However, a spokesperson for CRTC indicated it would not lead to censorship of data.

👏October Featured Pod-Story: SuccessFULL with ADHD
October is ADHD Awareness Month and as someone who has ADHD, it felt important to me to feature this and share with you a great podcast that discusses conquering life with ADHD. For this month’s pod-story, I’m honored to feature Brooke Schnittman, host of SuccessFULL with ADHD, and my business and ADHD coach. Brooke recently won her first podcast award from the Signal Awards in the Self-Improvement and Self-Help category. Be sure to check out Brooke’s podcast and tune in to our most recent episode together where we discuss her new book, Activate Your ADHD Potential: A 12-Step Journey from Chaos to Confidence for Adults with ADHD.
You can connect with Brooke on social media or YouTube through her handle @coachingwithbrooke or head over to her website – www.coachingwithbrooke.com
Read on to be inspired on your podcast journey with words of advice and triumph from Brooke.
Can you tell me how you got the idea to start your podcast?
Too often all we hear about the negatives associated with ADHD rather than the potential of the successes. I knew that there was a need for more stories from individuals’ successes and journeys with ADHD.
It’s been a dream of mine to start a solo podcast on ADHD for years, but I didn’t know where to start or have the confidence to do so.
I was asked to co-host a YouTube webisode series ADHD Powertools and ironically around episode 90 met Marc which gave me the confidence and ease to start.
The SuccessFULL With ADHD podcast gives individuals with ADHD hope by shining a spotlight on the successes of individuals with ADHD by sharing their journeys pre and post diagnoses.
How have you or your podcast changed since you started it?
I’ve become more confident and can see what other people have told me in myself for years. I have also included ADHD experts such as Dr. Hallowell and Amen that instead of sharing their journey they share tools to help individuals with ADHD.
What do you love most about podcasting?
Getting to positively impact more individuals with ADHD and Meeting amazing individuals along the way.
What kind of hurdles have you come across while podcasting?
Saying no to people who want to be on it, and managing my time as I’m interviewing more people than expected.
Has anything surprising or amazing come out of your podcasting experience that you didn’t expect?
Won the listener’s choice award from one of my first episodes with Dr. Gabor Mate, formed amazing relationships with ADHDers and experts (some of which who have endorsed my new book “Activate Your ADHD Potential” including Dr. Hallowell and Dr. Amen.)
Do you have a favorite episode that means a lot to you?
Dr. Hallowell, my husband Gabe Clements and the episode with Justin Pasha
As a fellow podcaster, what’s one piece of advice that you would give to someone who is just starting or thinking about starting a podcast?
Just start, anyway you can. If you have the resources, hire Marc and his team.
How has Marc’s advice or guidance assisted or impacted you on your podcast journey?
He has made the starting part of creating my podcast so much more simple and less anxiety ridden. They have also helped with the editing where I don’t need to do so much backend work and focus more on the run stuff like interviewing.
Anything else you would like to add?
Hire Marc! Thank you for your patience, attention to detail and support.
I’m so grateful to be connected with you and a part of your podcast journey.
All My Best,
👋Marc Ronick
