2023 is moving right along and so are the opportunities and advancements for podcasters. Check out what new things are in store for podcasters below!
Spotify for Podcasters
Have you heard the breaking news? The podcast host Anchor has now become ‘Spotify for Podcasters’. Check out my Reel and vote if you are excited.
Spotify for Podcasters will allow podcasters who host on any platform to come and share their podcast on Spotify, access analytics, and engage with listeners. The platform also gives podcasters resources and information for creating, improving, and growing their show. Podcasters can monetize with ads on the platform as well.
This means that the usual Anchor analytics have improved giving you more insight and can gear content accordingly to grow your audience. There are also workshops to learn and communities of podcasters to connect and collaborate. It’s also still free!

♀️Women’s History Month Highlight: Amanda Sharp
In March we are celebrating Women’s History Month by highlighting podcasts hosted by women. This week I am highlighting Empowered Podcasting Clubhouse moderator and OG Amanda Sharp. Amanda does it all and more! She is a mother, owns a brick-and-mortar small business, and is a realtor in Michigan. As a podcaster, Amanda has two podcasts:
- Amanda’s podcast co-hosted with Empowered Podcasting member, Chris Vaglio, is the newly branded “ Song Swap Showdown ” which goes live on Facebook , YouTube , and Twitch every Monday at 8:15am EST. Each week Chris & Amanda swap three songs each and rate them from 1 record (dumpster fire) to 5 records (stuck in your head for days). They are doing themed episodes and last week discussed coffee break songs. Listen to their 2023 playlist on Spotify . If you like fun banter, listening to music, and learning more about the songs and themes featured, listen in! Join live to watch and contribute your thoughts in the chat as well! You’ll often find me in the Facebook live chat giving my opinions as well!
- Amanda’s podcast B.A.D. Moms in Business is co-hosted with her two mom/business friends Bridgette and Danielle. They are a trio of “bad” moms who work full time while also being full-time moms. They juggle it all and come together to discuss the challenges and successes letting other working moms know they are not alone!

💻Podfest Global Virtual Event
Podfest Global is the virtual extension of the Podfest Multimedia Expo, the largest and tightest-knit community of podcasters. Podfest Global will provide podcasting camaraderie and content. Grow better together with like-minded individuals.
