🎨The Art of AI and Overcoming Self-Doubt in Podcasting

👋Hey there Podcaster!

Have you ever had self-doubt while podcasting? With the help of AI and famous artists like Picasso, I’ve got some tips and inspiration below.

🎨The Art of AI and Overcoming Self-Doubt in Podcasting

Check out my Carousel discussing The Art of Overcoming Self-Doubt in podcasting. In my post famous artists like Picasso are depicted as podcasters using the AI program DALL-E from CopyAI.

‘Draw’ inspiration from art and artists to overcome imposter syndrome and self-doubt in podcasting:

🎨Picasso was a revolutionary artist and unique in his style. As podcasters, we are given the opportunity to share our unique voices, being different can be your key to success in podcasting.

🎨Michelangelo said “The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.” In podcasting, don’t let imposter syndrome keep you down. Define your podcasting goals and purpose. What message are you going to share and who is your audience? This will help keep you motivated when self-doubt creeps in.

🎨Leonardo Da Vinci took his time to perfect his craft and as podcasters it also is smart to invest your time into learning and increasing your skills. You don’t need to be an expert right away to succeed in podcasting, everyone starts somewhere, including with little to no experience. It’s ok to start small and improve with time and practice.

🎨Van Gogh said “If you hear a voice within you say you cannot paint, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.” Your inner ‘self-doubt’ voice can be hard to listen to, so don’t! Take action instead: create a schedule and plan out the podcast in steps. The more steps you take, the more confidence will build!

🎨Rembrandt used light and shadow in his painting to create the effect of depth. Your podcast ups and downs also have a purpose to learn from, grow, and create depth.

🙌🏿Celebrating Black Voices in Podcasting

In February we are continuing to celebrate Black History Month with more recommendations of podcasts hosted by Black voices. Consider taking a listen to one of these podcast recommendations below.

Empowered Podcasting Clubhouse community member (and previous giveaway winner) Gene A. White Jr. is an Associate Dean at Odessa College, and is hosting the college’s rebooted podcast this month discussing Black History Month. Take a listen to the Wrangler Waves Podcast. Gene also has his own podcast HiJack My Life discussing personal growth and development.

The Werk Stories podcast is a place for women of color to share their experiences in the workplace talking about bias, equal pay, bad bosses, racist hiring practices, crazy things coworkers have done and said.

The Toure Show had an episode this month with an engaging interview with Netflix documentary directors for the film ‘Who Killed Malcom X’. The show has also recently interviewed notable celebrities such as Tommy Davidson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

🤖AI vs Human Voice: Guess!

I recently did a Reel testing the audience on if they can detect the difference between an AI and human voice using the AI technology Eleven Labs. Take a listen and let me know if you can tell! Once you have done that, check the second Reel with the results and how I did it!

AI voice technology is a great tool for podcasters who can’t or don’t want to re-record some speech that needs to be corrected in an episode or has an audio issue.

I’m so grateful to be connected with you and a part of your podcast journey.

All My Best,

👋Marc Ronick
